Pink October

October's colors are not just orange and black color for Halloween, it is also has PINK
October is official Breast Cancer Awareness  Month! And  Breast cancer statistics can be scary and overwhelming however, it is always important to be well-informed. Am I right?
  • Breast Cancer is the 2nd deadliest cause of death for women around the world
  • About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime.
  • Breast Cancer isn't a women's only thing. Men can develop it as well.
  • A woman’s risk of breast cancer approximately doubles if she has a first-degree relative  (mother, sister, daughter) who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Less than 15% of women who get breast cancer have a family member diagnosed with it.
  • About 40,290 women in the U.S. are expected to die in 2015 from breast cancer, though death rates have been decreasing since 1989.
  • The most significant risk factors for breast cancer are gender (being a woman) and age (growing older).
Glamulet feels that by the year 2050 that no woman should die of breast cancer and it all starts with awareness. While it might seem like a huge cause, every little bit counts. This isn’t something that can be done alone or overnight. One way to do that is by wearing jewelry that represents the cause and helps fund research. Yeah, buying a charm bracelet won’t cure cancer, but every little bit counts for something.

Glamulet is an online store that features fashionable jewelry. They have design stylish and elegant jewelry that will always be in style. Glamulet has created Limited Edition Pink Charms  to support their Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. For every set of charms added to the cart, 50% is donated to a charity organization. I love companies that create something so gorgeous and meaningful.  Fabulous!! Right? A lot how pretty they are too!!
Gorgeous jewelry and fund raising to an excellent cause, what could be better than that? Join #GlamuletPinkOctober and let’s make some change!

  1. I'm glad you made a post about Breast Cancer Awareness. It's such an important issue and as women generally tend to themselves last its a great reminder that our health is very important. Love the jewelry too!
